Fontina is handmade by our Master Cheesemakers from fresh milk gathered daily from local farmers. Aged over 60 days, Fontina develops an exceptionally mild, buttery flavor with a smooth, almost silky texture. BelGioioso Fontina makes an excellent introduction to Italian cheeses – everyone likes Fontina. This versatile cheese makes delicious sandwiches and grilled cheese and melts easily for fondues and sauces.
Ingredients: Cultured pasteurized milk, enzymes, salt.
Parings: Apple, melon, strawberries, grapes, cashews, olives, salami, light wine.
How to enjoy this cheese: Chunk for snacks or cheeseboards and antipasto. Melts perfectly for fondues, dips, and sauces. Add to pizzas, sandwiches, grilled cheese, and pasta. Stuff chicken breasts or top soups.
