Garden Of Esther's Saffron fresh pasta in pappardelle shape is vegan and naturally flavored with high-quality imported Spanish Saffron. The saffron's slightly sweet, floral flavor with a rich, almost honey-like smell makes for a balanced, surprisingly light, fresh pasta meal.
Saffron comes from a purple saffron crocus that only blooms for three weeks out of the year and can only be harvested by hand mid-morning before the flowers open. Approximately 1,000 flowers must be hand-picked to produce a single ounce of saffron.
